The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé is not only the most suggestive vehicle in its category, but it also stands out for its high degree of intelligence. Offers a host of sophisticated solutions such as the interior assistant MBUX, which interprets hand movements to recognize the occupants' wishes and gives the cabin a special intelligence. It also offers navigation functions with augmented reality, understanding of indirect voice commands, as well as the ENERGIZING COACH system, which transmits personalized recommendations to stay in shape. Added to this are various details that improve the aerodynamic properties and new functions of the Intelligent Drive driving assistance package. The design underlines the coupé character with its stylized shape and stylistic elements such as the bonnet with longitudinal projections and the license plate located at a lower level at the rear of the vehicle. The new CLA thus honors the iconic character of its predecessor.
During its first year, it will also be offered in a special Edition 1 variant. This limited edition model features numerous aesthetic elements that enhance its exclusivity, both outside and inside. It is manufactured at the Kecskemét plant (Hungary) and will go on the market in May of 2019.
Design: emotions in their purest form
The combination of an elongated silhouette above the windows with frameless doors gives the CLA Coupé its unmistakable sporty character and elegant. The front image is defined by the striking front inclined forward ('shark nose'), equipped with an elongated hood structured by means of longitudinal projections.
The low headlights, the extended downward bonnet and the diamond-effect grille with a central star outline the sporty appearance of the coupé. The slender two-element rear lights and the license plate – now located in the bumper – accentuate the width of the CLA's rear.
El cabin in a rear position and the sporty GT-type rear achieve a good balance between elegance and sportiness. The lateral design of reduced and precisely marked lines offers an interesting play of light and shadow. The renunciation of the upper character line on the side wall makes the shoulder area extremely muscular and athletic, from the front wheel arch to the sculptural rear. The wheels flush with the outer surface of the body, the molded wheel arches and the wider track underline the dynamism of the vehicle and give it a sporty stance.

Propulsion: debut with the most powerful engine
The CLA will be present at the Las Vegas show with the CLA 250 model, equipped with the powerful four-cylinder gasoline engine (165 kW/225 HP, 350 Nm) with 7G-DCT dual-clutch transmission (fuel consumption in the combined cycle: 6,3-6,1 l/100 km, CO emissions2 in the combined cycle: 143-140 g/km) [1]. On the market launch date, which will take place in May, a wide range of engines diesel and gasoline, with manual transmission or dual-clutch transmission and with 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
