This was the Barcelona Motordays Gala

Great motor enthusiasts and personalities enjoyed the Barcelona Motordays Gala in the Castell de Montjuic.

Saturday night had a great protagonist, the passion for motors. Professional drivers, journalists and brands from the motor world gathered at a Gala celebrating the seventh edition of Barcelona Motordays. A party that celebrated presentations, recognitions, awards and the Barcelona Cup Contest of Elegance and was hosted by Josep Lluís Merlos.

Mercedes-AMG gave the first surprise with the presentation of the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster, a sports car of great beauty and power with its 557 hp that was the curiosity of many during the night. Many expected to see the roadster of this model from the German brand in first person.

Young drivers like Alex Palou, Aleix Alcaraz and Jose Roger met well-known ones like Jordi Gené. Marc Gené was also present virtually, sending a message especially for the occasion from the Canada Circuit, where the F1 Grand Prix was held on Sunday, and which was broadcast during the intervention of Francesc Corberó, General Communication Manager of Nissan Iberia.

The recognitions were for those who continue working year after year for the future of the motor world. The young students of the UPC, the Formula Student E-Tech Racing team, discovered their new 100% electric car, Estev-e, with which they will begin to compete internationally this season. They received the Young Entrepreneurial Spirit Recognition. It is the second time that E-TechRacing presents its car at Barcelona Motordays, it also did so in the 2016 edition.

The Monlau Group was one of the great moments of the night. Iban Ventura, General Director of the group, received the “Recognition of Commitment to the training of motor professionals.” Especially by two of the Monlau Group schools, Monlau Repsol Technical School and Monlau Professional Studies, where automotive and motorcycling pilots, engineers and mechanics are trained. The first of them also competing in Moto GP with the Estrella Galicia 0,0 team.

With the presentation of Group RTP's Driving for Kids solidarity platform, we were able to count on the explanation of the Red Cross and Projecte ARI, where Dr. Álvaro Urbano announced this important initiative for leukemia assistance and research.

Barcelona Motordays also dedicated a special welcome to the 6to6 Europe Tour participants who were present and who the next day began a trip through five countries organized by 6to6 Motor.

One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the Barcelona Cup Contest of Elegance, where various prizes were awarded with the presence of the finalist vehicles at the dinner. The contest was preceded by the presentation of the new vintage sports car community, Youngtimer's Driver Club and its new sponsors Porsche Design and Pegasus Holding.

Michelin had an important representation during the night, Juanjo Pedrayes, Communication and External Relations of the brand kept a surprise until the end for the attendees, and the end of Barcelona Motordays Michelin offered everyone the funniest moment, the performance of the monologuist Toni Rodriguez. A full stop to a night that wanted to be fun and above all dedicated to the passion of all attendees, motors.
