The new Mercedes-Benz B-Class, for which orders are already accepted, will arrive in in February to dealers. This new generation has a more dynamic appearance than its predecessor, drives with more agility and at the same time offers greater comfort. Its avant-garde cabin has more space and is dominated by a double digital screen. Incorporates as standard the revolutionary MBUX multimedia system with artificial intelligence, high-definition visualizations and animations, “Hey Mercedes” voice control and touch screen. Technologies such as its optional augmented reality browser or its private vehicle sharing service also stand out. It is the benchmark in its segment in terms of active safety thanks to the advanced driving assistance systems adopted from the S-Class.
New design line
The new Class B has a more dynamic design line thanks to a long wheelbase (2.729 mm) with short overhangs, a slightly lower roof line and larger wheels than before, from 17 to 19 inches. Furthermore, the coefficient c has been optimizedx which starts with 0,24 (compared to the 0,25 level of its predecessor). Its interior is more spacious and modular; It has a standard rear seat divided into three sections, in a 40:20:40 ratio. Starting in mid-2019, the possibility of moving the rear seats longitudinally by 14 centimeters and placing the backrest in a more upright position will be offered to vary the volume of the trunk behind the rear seats between 455 and 705 liters.
More technological than ever
As standard for the Spanish market, numerous additional equipment has been added to the factory standard, among which are: reversing camera, touch panel, THERMOTRONIC climate control, High-Performance LED headlights, automatic tailgate with EASY-PACK, Progressive line, Car Sharing function and 17” wheels.
Initially available six efficient engines, three diesel and three gasoline, all of them compatible with the demanding Euro 6d TEMP standard that will be mandatory in 2020. In addition, in this range the dual-clutch transmission with eight gears for the most powerful diesel engines celebrates its debut.
